It’s a bittersweet moment, as I’ve come to the end of my Lion King costume series! You can see all my posts here:
Thank you to Primary.com for providing me with the raw materials (the clothing) I needed to make my vision a reality! My views of the clothes are not swayed by the fact that I received them for this post!
For some reason, I was slacking with this costume and didn’t do a flat lay of what you will need before I created it. I think it’s because I didn’t have all the pieces when I was taking all the photos! I forgot to get the royal blue felt!
SO here’s what I used to make Zazu for my baby:
- The long sleeve baby dress in pool from Primary.com
- The baby legging in tangerine from Primary.com
- Felt in white and royal blue
- An orange bow (as the beak…you could also use a small hat if it’s for a boy)
That’s it! This one is also SUPER simple and came out really cute! You could add some orange socks or slippers to complete the look!
All I did with the felt was cut wings that were closely shaped to the ones on cartoon Zazu (you can Google a photo of him for reference) and added some white swoops for details. On the back I added three feathers (one big and two smaller) with white lines across the top. I curved the white lines to go with the flow of the feathers.
