I discovered Wicked Uncle a few months ago when I did my first collaboration with them (on Instagram). I loved the experience so much that I’m back to talk about it in a little more depth!
Wicked Uncle specializes in gift giving. It’s the perfect website for relatives and friends who may not know what to gift the children in their lives. I know personally that growing up away from many of my younger relatives meant that I was clueless when birthdays or Christmas rolled around.
Kids grow so fast and their taste (and trends) change just as quickly! Sometimes it’s nice to have a little guide. Wicked Uncle is set up to be that guide for you! You can shop by age, gender, or category.
Say you have a 6 year old nephew. You haven’t seen him since he was a baby and you don’t see him all that often so you really don’t know what he’s into! Head to Wicked Uncle and you will find a wide variety of toys that are age appropriate and quality tested by the ‘elves’.
You can choose to have the toy gift wrapped, and include a hand written card if you want!
Chances are, your little nephew will love his new gift! On the off chance that he already has the same toy, or if he just isn’t interested, you can return the gift and get credit for something else that he may like better. Easy peasy.
They have such an awesome variety of toys and games, which I love! Last time we shopped with them, Leopold got a magnetic wall calendar and an animal flashlight projector. Finley got a fun musical toy that she loves playing with!
This go around, I found the COOLEST toy for Leopold. His name is Charley the Chameleon and he lights up and plays a soothing lullaby or nature sounds at varying volumes. The colors change between red, blue and green and the music plays for 45 minutes before shutting off. Charley is super soft and snuggly too! Leopold was actually excited to go to bed tonight with his new friend!
Finley got a great pelican toy that teaches object permanence. It’s a soft toy you can tether to a play yard or something similar and it comes with 4 smaller soft toys that rattle, crinkle and squeak. When baby puts the toy in the pelican’s mouth, it drops down into it’s belly where you can see and grab it out! It’s a great teaching tool for babies 9 months and up. They can learn that just because you can’t see an object for a moment, it isn’t gone forever.
