My dog Niko is probably the best dog I’ve ever had, hands down. He’s sweet, playful, snuggly and smart. He listens pretty well and has always learned things super fast.
Naturally, I want to spoil him with quality premium dog food! We searched high and low for a good food for Niko when we brought him home for the first time. After some debate and advice from a friendly pet store employee, we decided to go with Nature’s Recipe®.
We started out with their puppy food and have since moved on to different types. We love that Nature’s Recipe dog food has all of the added vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to help Niko live his best life. As an added bonus, it’s one of the best dog foods out there in our specific price range. While we love our dog, and want to give him the best, we don’t have $80 to shell out for a bag of dog food! Nature’s Recipe has all of the good stuff and fits into our family’s budget.
Nature’s Recipe dog food is made with meat such as lamb, chicken, or salmon as the FIRST ingredient. There are no fillers, by-product meal, or artificial flavors and more importantly, it’s truly grain free! Aside from the meat, the remainder of the food is made with nutrient dense carbs like sweet potato and pumpkin. Niko loves both of these treats so it’s not just healthy, it’s delicious! At least his response to his food would lead me to believe that it’s yummy. I’ve never tried it myself!
We can always tell when it’s time to eat because Niko will get severe puppy dog eyes and start to nudge us with his cold, wet nose. Even Leopold likes to get in on the action sometimes! His very first ‘chore’ has been to feed the dogs. He loves scooping out the right amount of Nature’s Recipe to pour into Niko’s bowl! I’m sure Niko is so attached to me because for one, I’m always home, and two, I feed him! I’m hoping he and Leopold will be best friends one day and I know Leopold feeding him is a good start!
Another thing I love about Nature’s Recipe is that it’s available at Walmart! The prices are a little lower than buying at a big-name pet store, and the BEST part is that I can add it to my Walmart pickup order and have it brought right to my car! Now I don’t have to wait around for my husband to come home so we can go together (he does the heavy lifting since I’m pregnant).
Niko is happily living his best life, thanks to Nature’s Recipe Grain Free dog food from Walmart! Having quality dog food is SO important. Niko loves to go for walks, play fetch (he could do this all day), take car rides, and just generally spend time with us, his family. Having a full belly and a good source of energy is absolutely essential for our adventures!
I want to keep my pup around for a long time. Who wouldn’t want that? Especially when my fur baby is truly a part of the family. He’s loyal, compassionate and loving. He’s also VERY in tune with us. Especially me! I swear he knew I was pregnant with baby #2 before I did. He would follow me around even closer than usual, and if I tried to sit on the floor or even on the couch he would do his absolute best to fit his giant body in my lap. Wherever I go, he isn’t far behind!! He deserves the very best, and I know I can give it to him with the help of Nature’s Recipe Grain Free dog food!
1st of all he is lovely. 2ndly. Can I feed to my german Shepard?
Thank you so much!! I don’t see why not! This food is suitable for all dogs!
Your little puppers is so adorable! I love the pics of your son feeding and petting him too. He looks very much loved.
He is!! Thanks so much Melanie!
oh my he looks like he enjoyed the food , for me giving a right food to my fur babies is important step for their health and well being x
Very true! I feel like they need the good stuff since they have to eat the same thing every day!
I love seeing your sweet boy so excited to feed his puppy! SO sweet!!
Thank you!! He loves the little responsibilities!
Aww he is adorable!! Right pet food is really important because not every brand in the market thinks about the health of our pets, just for profit.
Exactly!! I hate when I see those brands that clearly are just looking at the most food for the price when it’s really just trash!
Your fur baby is adorable and fully relishing your pamper. This is so important to feed them with best food available.
Thanks so much! I totally agree with you there!
How cute is your pup?! It is so important to feed our pups the proper food. I mean we would do the same for ourselves…sometimes. 🙂 I love the fact that your little is so comfortable with helping.
It changes daily how much my son actually wants to help haha!!
He is just so adorable. This is the first time I read a blog on dog, seriously. I really liked the way you have explained the emotions that help you understand what he wants. They become our Children eventually
I always refer to him as my ‘first born’!! He’s definitely my ‘baby’! Thanks so much for the kind words Monica!
Taking good care of pets is so important, and choosing the right food for them is not an easy task! I’m glad you found something that your happy with.
It’s definitely no easy feat! Thanks girl!
A happy dog makes a happy dog owner – doesn’t it – just pamper him as much as you like 🙂
You’re right Renata!! If he’s happy, I’m happy!
Niko is truly adorable and so is the picture of your son feeding him. I am so happy to see that you care so much about Niko and got him premium dog food. All animals deserve this much care.
I think so too! I wish I had the time, money and energy to adopt more pets that need love!
Niko is so cute! It is important to feed our pets the best. Deciding what is best for your pet is a hard decision.
Thanks Heather!! It’s really a tricky decision for sure! But we want him to have the best 🙂
What a gorgeous pooch you have! It is important to food our pets the best we can afford I think, they need to have healthy insides too!
Most definitely! And thank you!! I think he’s really pretty too 🙂
This post makes me really miss having a dog 🙁 I have cats now though, so I don’t think getting a dog is wise LOL x
LOL I doubt your cats would appreciate that! Just do what I do with cats, find a friend or family member with a dog to ‘get your fix’ ;p
