I’m over halfway through my pregnancy with my second child. I’ve learned a lot since having my first, and I’ve found a lot of cool products since then too. Many times I’ve found something that I wish I had with my son! This go around, I’m really trying to get only the things I really think I’ll use and not go overboard. It’s not an easy task for this mama, I’ll tell you that.
This ‘Round Up’ list can apply to first or second time moms, since a lot of the products I’m writing about would be great either way!
Since I’ve been blogging, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of great brands, companies and shops. While I LOVE having this chance to try out and review all of these awesome products, my ultimate goal for this blog is to bring these things to you and give you my honest opinion about them.
I’ve always been a baby gear snob. Even going way back to before I ever got pregnant. I’ve always worked with kids and been around these things, so the fascination only grew once I had my own. I already have pretty much everything I need for this baby and let me tell you I KNOW how totally blessed I am to be able to say that!
There have even been a handful of things from Leopold’s infancy that I’ve been able to upgrade for this baby, which is incredibly cool.
You will see many of these items down the line in my posts about baby girl’s nursery and the final reveal, and of course once she’s here and we are actively using them! For this post, I’m hoping I can give you some ideas on what to add to your registry! I also have a few more posts scheduled such as Breastfeeding Must Haves, Closet Must Haves, and On the Go Must Haves. I’ve got a lot of fun product recommendations!
I’m going to post a few photos here but you can see the majority of these awesome things in action when I post the final Nursery Reveal Post!
Dock A Tot Deluxe- We lover our Dock A Tot Grand for Leopold so I was thrilled to receive their smaller version for this baby! I didn’t realize how much smaller it was! You don’t think about how big your oldest is until you start getting ready for a teeny baby! I plan to use the Dock A Tot as a co-sleeper if necessary. We have a king sized bed and chances are my husband will sleep in the guest room the first few weeks after he goes back to work. It will either be that or the Rock N Play. Having baby close makes those middle of the night feedings so much easier! I’m sure I’ll probably use it around the house too!
Lorena Canals Rug- I was so excited for the chance to work with Lorena Canals because the carpet in our house is just the ugliest brown color! Now at least for baby girl’s room I have something pretty that covers a good portion of that brown carpet. Not only is this rug soft and super cute, it’s machine washable! You can’t ask for anything better when it comes to having little kids and babies!
The blue item in the photo is a shopping cart hammock from Binxy Baby. I’ll be featuring that on my ‘Must haves for on the go’ post!
Newton Baby crib mattress and mattress pad- I’ve worked with Newton Baby twice in the past year and I love both products so much! They are crazy breathable and make me wish I’d had them with Leopold, who was a total belly sleeper from day one. Whether baby sleeps on her back or eventually her belly, this mattress brings some serious peace of mind! Both the mattress and the pad are completely washable, too!
Ubbi diaper pail- We did cloth diapers with Leopold, but it became such a tedious task after he was about 1.5 that I switched to disposables. I still have all of our cloth and plan on hanging on to it just in case we run out of diapers or if I change my mind. As of now I plan on using disposables because they are just so much easier. I LOVE this Ubbi Diaper pail because not only is it gorgeous, it’s stainless steel, which doesn’t absorb odors! It does keep them from escaping though! Not only that, you can use any trash bag you would like, it doesn’t require special (expensive) inserts or bags. Finally, whether I decide to do disposable or cloth, it will work for both!
Rookie Humans Crib sheets- Just some super dreamy, whimsical and fun crib sheets that also double as a super cute photo backdrop!
EliKai designs diaper caddy- A diaper caddy is kind of a must, because diapering accessories can get a little out of control. It’s nice to have a place to keep it all organized! Plus, it’s so cute!
Lollipop Baby Monitor- I kept Leopold’s baby monitor close at hand from day one. It’s still on my night stand, even though we only use it for sound now. I’m excited to try the Lollipop camera with this baby that connects to my phone! It’s really cool and has some really neat features, like the ability to play music through a speaker on the camera (my personal favorite).

When I say I'm stocking up for this baby… I'm not kidding. I thought there were cool clothes and gadgets when I was pregnant with Leopold but even now, 3 years later, I'm immersed in the world of "baby gear" and I'm impressed almost daily. Not to mention I now know about Instagram small shops and mom bosses and it's just such a fun time for me. • We were #gifted the @lollipopbabycam a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you guys…it's so cool 😍. It operates through an app on your phone and can be set up right on the crib bars or on the wall hook that comes with it. It's really cool looking so it won't cramp the nursery's style, and it bends, so it's easy to get it in just the right spot. The picture on it is pretty good and it can tell you whether baby is just making noise or really crying. • I think my favorite feature is the music though! You can play music through the app and it even comes with classical lullabies included! You can set a timer too!! We tested it out on Leopold and now I'm really excited to get it set up in baby girl's room! • Side note… Did anyone else think my cute book addition was kinda funny?? 😂😂 I mean… Just me…? No? A seed? 😎😉🤰
Ollie World Swaddle- I’ve heard AMAZING things about the Ollie World Swaddle. I am so excited to see for myself how great it is (fingers crossed)! It keeps baby feeling snug and secure so that they can sleep peacefully and safely, since it’s meant to go lower on their shoulders and away from the face. I plan on taking this one to the hospital with me!
Delta Children Crib and Changing Table- I think Leopold’s crib was a Delta crib that was gifted to us from my husband’s family last time. I really wanted a white crib this time to match baby girl’s room, so I was excited to receive the Presley Convertible Crib N Changer from Delta this time. It’s perfect, since her room is a lot smaller than Leopold’s! Having the changing table attached saves a ton of space and provides us with some extra storage below!
Organizing Cubes and storage shelves– So simple, yet so important. I keep collecting ‘stuff’ and accessories for this girl (girls tend to ‘require’ a lot more than boys, I’ve found) and having plenty of storage is key! Bibs, hats, tights, burp clothes, etc…everything has a home in her closet.
Here’s an example of the one in Leopold’s room! I LOVE these things. Definitely a ‘must have’ for all over the home!
Name banner from Silly Ollie- A mama friend on Instagram just introduced me to her ADORABLE shop, Silly Ollie. She’s crazy talented working with felt, and makes beautiful name signs for babies, kids, teachers, you name it! She is working on a name banner for this girl’s room and I can’t wait to share it with you!
