We don’t often take a big huge diaper bag everywhere we go these days. Leopold is old enough to be slightly easier to pack for and travel with. Our daily bag is this one from Wildkin. The print is the cutest I think I’ve ever seen and it gets the job done! It’s small enough for him to wear if he wants, but it still fits me.
What about the days when you need more than just two diapers and a snack? Maybe you just had a baby and need something that will accommodate two children now! Check out my review of these stylish and sturdy diaper bags and maybe you will see something that you like!
I received three diaper bags from Kiko Miami to review (and give to you guys)! I’m going to pack each one in different ways to show you just how versatile and useful these bags are! I’m going to keep one for myself but choosing which one won’t be easy!
Packing for a day trip
For this scenario, let’s say we are headed up to Charlotte for the day. We might be going to Ikea. Who knows? (Okay if we are in Charlotte, we’re going to Ikea. Let’s be real). Leopold isn’t potty trained yet (long story) but this imaginary child I’m packing for is. So instead of diapers, we are packing two extra pair of undies and another outfit. Just in case. I’d also advice keeping one or two outfits in the car in case it’s a bad day!
Always bring snacks for a day trip! Even if you’re going somewhere that you can buy food, snacks are never a bad idea. I love to take our bento box from Stuck on You for longer trips. You can take a variety of snacks without it getting messy!
Take a jacket if it is cool or may get cool. Toys are a must have for those desperate moments, or while waiting for food at a restaurant. I’ve stowed away some candy in one of the inner zipper pockets because: potty training.
This bag’s features include:
- Two side drink holders
- A luggage strap
- Detachable stroller hooks
- A changing pad
- Handles and backpack straps
- Rear and front zipper pockets
- (on the inside) two insulated bottle pockets
- Three long pockets (maybe for packets of formula)
- One zipper pocket
- A wide zippered opening at the top for easy access
Packing for an overnight or weekend trip
I’m leaning toward keeping this bag. My head wants me to keep the striped one because it’s more trendy and a bit smaller. My heart, however, loves this bag. It’s so sturdy feeling, I adore the grey color, and it’s got SO. MANY. POCKETS. My mom was always really into bags, and the more pockets = the better the bag. Plus, it’s definitely the most spacious of the three. I would like to have another baby eventually and I know this would hold everything I need for that future baby as well as for Leopold.
In this imaginary scenario, we are taking an overnight trip, or maybe even a weekend getaway. Our child is still in diapers in this case. I’ve packed a blanket, some clothing, a toiletry bag, diapers and wipes, a sound machine, stuffed animal, and some snacks. I seriously love this bag, you guys.
Here’s a closer look:
This bag’s features include:
- Two drink pockets
- Detachable shoulder strap
- Three front zipper pockets
- One large back zipper pocket
- (On the Inside) Three mesh pockets
- Two canvas pockets
- One zipper pocket
- A changing pad
- A separate bottle case/holder
- Detachable stroller straps
Packing for a little baby
It wasn’t easy for me to find ‘tiny baby stuff’ lying around my house!
In this case, we are going out of the house for a bit with an infant. This baby wears cloth diapers, but not to worry! There is plenty of space in this bag for all your fluff bum needs.
I’ve packed a lovey, burp cloth, swaddle blanket/nursing cover/carseat cover, a book, some toys, and booty cream (cloth diaper safe)! There is also a change of clothes (there is a warm sweater still in the bag) and make sure to pack a paci and bottles if you need them!
For older babies, I added a nature’s little squeeze pouch for a snack or baby food.
Here are the features of this gorgeous bag:
- One rear pocket (with magnetic clasp)
- Two side bottle pockets
- Two front pockets
- Zip up top
- (On the inside) Four canvas pockets
- One zipper pocket
- A changing pad
- Detachable stroller straps

It would be perfect! I ALMOST kept that one but when I was packing them I fell in love with the bigger one lol. I’m not fashionable enough to keep the striped one hahaha
Well I’m not really either but I still love it!! Lol
Hahah I think it would suit you just fine!
I think both are cute….. either one would make a cute Grandma bag 🙂
Lol yes it would! Angela mentioned that I should give it to her but I told her she has to enter the giveaway!
I shared it on my page and tagged everyone I know that just had a baby is going to have a baby or that is a Grandma maybe if one of them wins they will share with me 🙂 here’s to hoping. I have never really been lucky at this kind of stuff lol
Well I hope you win!! Good luck! 😉 There will be another one on my facebook next week so if you don’t win this time you can always try again. Thanks for sharing!!
I like the first one and the stripe one best! Cute cute 🙂
It was super hard to choose which one to keep! But I felt it in my heart lol. They were all so cute!
I agree that each of these are great options for packing to go on a day event. I would probably choose the middle one with all the pockets, just so I could definitely keep everything separated and hopefully not lose anything on the trip.
Yep, I love pockets lol. It’s never a bad thing to be organized!
I entered for Jess I guess she really wants one lol
hahah you’re a good friend Alana! ;p
Honestly, I’m loving the middle bag… it just looks sleek & roomy… heaven knows I need roomy. I tend to lean toward Mary Poppins when it comes to bags 🤦🏼♀️. HA Then with different strap options means sliding off your shouldn’t wouldn’t be an issue….
I think that’s the one I ended up keeping! Hahaha I loved it too! I’m all about space and was really needing a weekend bag for my son!
Both of these bags are really pretty. Those little food pouches really do come in so handy
You can never have enough snacks!!
Cute bags! There’s really a method to packing a baby bag. Missing one item could really ruin your day lol. Thanks for simplifying it.
hahah tell me about it! You wanna be flexible but babies make that pretty tricky.
I love the striped one the best!! So stylish for a diaper bag 🙂
I agree!! It’s super cute!
Such a useful article for new moms. I loved it even though we are diaper free now.
Good for you!! We are going to get back into potty training after Christmas…wish us luck!
Keeping up with info for all the grandbabies.. :). Cute bags
All grandmas need a good bag!
Both of these really look cute, I could choose the first bag
Choosing was the hardest part for me!
I love the backpack diaper bag. I am a backpack type of girl since it leaves your yards free to carry your baby or anything else you need. Since you first got the diaper bags I’ve been contemplating buying one! I figured I’ll try to win one first. I do love the striped bag as well as it is so roomy!
Hey, can’t hurt to try!! Good luck girl!
I love the Nantucket/stripped bag! I am a sucker for messenger anything. It is nice to be hands free…although I have been really wanting a back pack since having a second baby. They are all great! LOL
Well make sure to enter the next contest too! Maybe you will get lucky!! 🙂 I love them all too!!
