The long anticipated bedroom update is finally here! I wish he had a much bigger bedroom so I could do more with it but for now I will do what I can.
If you didn’t see the before pictures, click here before you go any further! The before makes the after much more impressive. Trust me.
This is basically the size of his bedroom. This photo makes it look like a closet but it’s really not that small!
We got our tee pee from Best Choice Products to review. It has dreamy string lights inside of it and a window as well. Leopold LOVES playing in there. We keep it cozy with our nap mat from Wildkin, a body pillow, a sheepskin, and some stuffed animals. Note baby Will in there from Wonder Crew! See our review of Wonder Crew here!
I’m pretty proud of that Melissa and doug giraffe. I found it at Goodwill for 10$! Perfect condition too.
The toy box and safari rug are from Wildkin as well!
We bought those curtains with baby shower money from Target and they have served us well! They go pretty well with just about every theme I’ve had for Leopold.
Yes. The answer is yes, I did color coordinate his books. I know it won’t last, but ROY G BIV makes my heart so happy.
We got the elephant cube from Wildkin (olive kids) as well and it it so cute and well made!! I just wish we had another one for the other side, lol.
The zebra painting next to the mirror was made for Leopold by his super talented 92 year old great grandmother. He was born on her birthday!
I am trying to keep the toys in his bedroom to a minimum. Bedrooms are for sleeping! I feel so much calmer walking into his room without there being toys everywhere and I’m sure he has to feel that way too. The green basket contains animals so that he can play on his safari rug. The two black baskets have Lion King figures and cars, trains and planes in them.
I’m still not sure what I will put in the two bins. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe his mega blocks.
On top of this shelf are a couple water color pictures I made for him, a photo of him and my mom, and a little decoration we used in my maternity photos. There is an elephant puzzle my sister got for him at a craft fair, and our great memory keeper from Savor It All. I will eventually do a blog post about that but I still have to gather my materials to work in it!
This is also where I keep his diapers, wipes, and self care items. That includes a hairbrush, booty cream, comb, nail clippers, etc. It’s right next to his mirror and monkey stool (also a gift from my sister) so that he can check himself out or brush his own hair if he wants. The diaper caddy was given to us for review by Eli Kai Designs. We love how easy it is to use and travel with! You can find your own on amazon by clicking here!
I’m a little enamored by these Pillowfort animal heads from Target! I got the giraffe and panda for 5$ on clearance and my sister got Leopold the zebra for his birthday!
I spray painted his initials before he was born and they have been in all of his rooms so far. The cardboard letters are from Hobby Lobby and were about 2$ each if I remember correctly.
His nightlight is from Hatch Baby and was a gift for his birthday from my mother in law. Hatch baby sent us a set of covers for our review of them, which was very sweet! They come plain white but you can get the translucent covers that are super affordable! They come in packs of three. We have two sets so I change them out whenever I think about it. The orange one matches the giraffe quite nicely!
I LOVE the Hatch Baby Rest.
It’s seriously the coolest night light ever and I will forever rave of it’s awesomeness. It’s operated by Bluetooth via your phone, or by the controls underneath the night light. There are a bunch of different sound options for white noise, and just about unlimited light color options. You can set it to ‘rainbow’ and the lights will change from color to color. You can choose one of their preset colors, or choose any color you desire from their color wheel!
The one thing I wish it offered was the ability to play your own music like a Bluetooth speaker, but other than that it’s totally the best! You can program different on/off settings for bedtime, nap time, and even OK to wake times! I have it set up so that it comes on in an orange color (you can also change the dim/bright levels of the light and the volume of the white noise) for bedtime and then turns green and plays crickets/outdoor sounds at 8am. He doesn’t quite get the ‘OK to wake’ concept yet but I figure I might as well start now!
You can see some screenshots of the inner workings of the Hatch Baby Rest in this post, if you’re interested! You can purchase your own using the banner I’ve provided for you at the bottom of this page!
I was considering buying Leopold a rug like this for a while. I kept seeing the roads and towns and never found one I really loved until I stumbled on this one on Wildkin’s website! He can’t get enough of his animals so this safari rug was beyond perfect!
His rocker was sent to us from Rock-a-bye rockers and they were kind enough to put his name on it! It plays four different songs which he loves to play! Especially when we are trying to face time with family!!
The backpack below is from GabbyBox and is our go to bag for transporting Leopold’s toy animals (pictured above). The ruler was a birthday gift straight off our amazon wish list!
I made the name banner for his birthday party and the card stock I used for the animals just so happens to match the paint color (9$ clearance paint by the way) perfectly!
I put that little yellow mirror up right by his crib in the hopes that it would entertain him and score me a few more minutes of sleep every now and then. So far it hasn’t worked!
His adorable crib sheet is from Rookie Humans, and the prints above his bed were some I found at Hobby Lobby about a year ago! They were just too cute to pass up!
