2017 Fall Bucket List for Moms and Toddlers
It’s the first day of Autumn today! How are you celebrating?
We are looking forward to sweater weather! How sweet is this sweater that his great grandma knit for him?
I went ahead and pulled out all of my fall decorations from the attic. After three moves and lots of ‘purges’ I ended up with about five ‘fall’/Halloween type items in the box. How disappointing.
Luckily I do have the ability to make some of my own!
Last fall my son and I had a blast doing a lot of the things on this list (without the actual list). This year, since I’m blogging, I wanted to share my ‘plans’ with you guys!
I can’t make any promises but I do hope to blog about these as we check each one off the list!
Without further ado, here is this years’ fall bucket list!
So far I do have tentative plans to do a few of these things. I’m so looking forward to this season! With today being the official first day of fall, I’m anticipating cooler weather but not really expecting it anytime soon! Living in the South like I do, it’s often hot on and off up to Christmas time! I would love to live somewhere that has four seasons…
We have already booked tickets to take a trip on the Polar Express over Thanksgiving. I can’t even tell you how excited I am about this! Leopold has been asking to ride a train for weeks now and I know he will have a blast. This train ride is with the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and is over an hour long with a visit to the ‘North Pole’ to see Santa in the middle. There will be songs and hot chocolate and I am getting giddy just thinking about it.
I’ve already gotten confirmation from my husband that he WILL wear matching PJ’s if I can find some for the three of us…so please leave a comment if you know where I can find some!
That weekend we will stay in our family’s cabin up in NC to celebrate Thanksgiving and although it may be too late for apples, there is a beautiful orchard nearby so we may do some sort of fruit picking while we are there! So that’s at LEAST three bucket list items all in one weekend!
I found an article about ‘friendsgiving’ and I would love to try that out with my mommy group! Every family brings a soup and a pie so it’s easy and fair, and have a little get together before actual Thanksgiving.
Here is a photo from last fall…notice he is sweating! Still hot out…but we had to recreate photos from the year before when he was a newborn!
