Phew! It’s been such a busy summer!
I’m sorry I’ve been away from the blog for so long, but our schedule is off and we have been hanging out with our mommy group a lot!
We recently got this Llama Mama Lillebaby complete all seasons carrier in the mail. Lillebaby provided the carrier for free, but as always, all opinions are my own!
I am a slave to my SSC’s (Soft structured carriers).
I started out by purchasing a plain Ergo Baby carrier when Leopold was about 3 or 4 months old. My mom and I were out shopping and I didn’t have my Moby wrap on me. I had been toying with the idea of getting one so rather than carry my chunky boy around all afternoon, I made an impulse purchase. My favorite kind!
That Ergo served us well for a long time.
We joined our local chapter of Babywearing International and I tried a few other carriers out over the next year or so. I saw so many awesome ones that having a plain, tan Ergo made me feel like I wasn’t a true baby wearer. I needed something pretty!
When Leopold was about 15 months old, Kinderpack had a big sale that I couldn’t pass up! That was my second SSC. I got the ‘Wiz Kid’ because of my adoration for all things Harry Potter. It is SO comfy. I love that thing. It’s very simple and easy to operate. Since he is bigger now, I mostly use it for back carries!
I reached out to Lillebaby about possibly reviewing one of their carriers, and to my surprise they said yes! I got to choose which Lillebaby to receive which was probably one of the toughest decisions I’ve made recently. I’m a sucker for cute prints, and with the weather here being so HOT most of the time, I finally came to a decision.
Llamas, cacti, and that beautiful mint color? What could be better??!
This Lillebaby is such a comfortable carrier!
I love that I can wear Leopold 6 different ways, if I so desire. He is still getting used to a forward facing carry. Every time I start putting a carrier on he will say ‘back’ because he knows that’s where he usually goes.
Now that I’m able to, I’m trying to get him used to other positions like forward facing in the Lillebaby! So far, so good. I’m just getting used to the straps and the fit, but luckily I have a great BWI chapter to help me out! If you like babywearing or are just curious about it, I urge you to find a Babywearing International chapter in your area!
Huge thanks to my friend Anna and her sweet boy for helping me model our new Lillebaby the other day!
