Unique Easter Basket Ideas for Your Toddler
Easter is April 16th this year so we have a little extra time to get goodies for our kids’ baskets!
Instead of buying a basket full of junk that is just going to get tossed, broken, or lost in a week’s time, how about shopping small and supporting working moms and dads?
I have been trying to minimize ‘stuff’ lately. We have so much of it and is it really making our lives better? Honestly, it’s just more to clean and put away.
For Easter this year, try buying just a few special things that your kids will actually use or really appreciate! I’ve scoured small shops on Instagram and here are a list of items I’ve found that would be great additions to your child’s Easter basket!
(There are a few things that are more ‘big name’ products but I couldn’t resist them!)
This husband and wife team who were fed up with buying ‘baby food pouches’ came up with this awesome reusable squeeze pouch. They sent us one to try out and it is SO COOL. Seriously, we love it. I bought a pack of reusable pouches when Leopold was smaller and they work just fine for purees and smoothies but sometimes they still get food stuck in the corners after going through the dishwasher. I was looking for something a little easier and I came across this!
We received the 6oz Squeasy Silicone Feeder in Aqua. I love that you can use it for anything from smoothies, to yogurt, to water! It has a removable insert in the spout that is good for water, juice or milk because it prevents leaks. You can take the insert out for thicker snacks or bigger kids and you have a free flowing bottle!
It’s got a place to attach a carabiner so you can attach it to your diaper bag or even your belt loops! It’s easy for little hands to hold and I think my favorite thing about it is that you can turn it completely inside out and put it in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. Leopold loves it so much that he will probably get the bigger size in his basket next year! Be on the lookout for our more in depth review of this item in the next week or so!

$8.99 for two
These are simple, neat little tools your toddler can easily use to pick up pieces of food. What a fun way to get them to eat their veggies!
12oz is $16.99
16oz is $17.99
I can’t wait to get one of these for Leopold. In fact, this might be going in his basket this year! They are pricier than your average 5$ snack cups but they work SO well and hold so much more! It would be fun to add some puffs, cheerios, or another little snack to this. That way they are still getting edibles that aren’t candy and it’s presented in a fun way!
Personalized Plate is 26$
There are so many fun things on this site! This mama designs plates to look like your little one. The plate includes their name too! There are plates with roads, animals, and train tracks as well as food cutters and other accessories. Some say you shouldn’t play with your food, but in my opinion it’s more likely to get eaten if it looks fun! 🙂 The plates themselves are $26.00, but go and look through her other products too! The prices vary but are rather reasonable for the quality you are receiving!

If your child is anything like mine, they HATE getting their face wiped after a meal. This genius product is flavored and sweetened with stevia extract so that kids will actually enjoy cleaning the food off their face! It’s like dessert and bath time rolled into one! On top of the yummy flavors, they are safe and all natural, which is never a bad thing!
Cuddles & Comfort
These blankets are so multifunctional! They have snaps so you can attach them to almost anything so they won’t fall down or get kicked off. “Our fabrics surpass the maximum UPF rating of UPF 40-50+. This means that our UPF fabrics block more than 97% of UVA and UVB even after two years wear and tear..” They have bandanas as well for $15!
These guys are slightly on the higher end price wise, but I have been swooning over them for over a year now so I just had to add it to the list! These two creative mamas came up with the design for the slumber sloths after making loveys for their own boys. They are designed to promote positive attachments which are so important for small children! I can’t wait to get one of these for Leoopold, hopefully sooner rather than later!
These handmade soft toys look so cuddly! The bunny and hen stood out to me for their ‘Spring’ theme 🙂
Most of us know all about Jellycat animals. I myself am a tad bit obsessed. They aren’t a ‘small business’ and they are kind of hard to find online but I had to add them to the list because every child needs a Jellycat stuffed animal!
These toddler bags are cute and functional! You could add it to an Easter basket or use it AS an Easter basket!
“Stop the drop game!” is their motto and the product is pretty handy too! We can’t wait to try out our own Lil’ Sidekick! Most toddlers love to throw things. Whether it’s in an emotional burst, or just testing the laws of Gravity, all parents spend a fair amount of time picking things up off the ground. Save yourself the work and strap it down!
These are a cute alternative to using a million ziploc bags! And a cheaper option if you aren’t ready to buy a munchie mug for close to $20. I probably wouldn’t hand it to my one year old unsupervised, but it would be a great option for snacks to keep ready for play dates or road trips!
I’ve been looking for a cute, stylish hat for my son for a long time. These fit the bill (ha!)! These would be great for beach trips or spending time in the summer sun!
This is just one example of the many sewing mamas out there making adorable baby clothes. I loved her stuff because of the designs and how comfortable they look!!
I know this isn’t a small shop but Target has my favorite kids swimwear! Easter is a great time to get new suits for the coming warmer months! (and while you’re there you can shop the dollar spot for any ‘fillers’ if you’re into that!)
For all the little ladies out there, I had to add a bow and headband shop! I think these are all just so pretty, and the sweet mama who runs the shop gave us this coupon code to use for a discount!

This company has some awesome toys! They are made simply to encourage imaginative play and they are made with soft, squishy foam so they are totally safe for babies and toddlers. They are also a fair trade company based out of India. Go check them out and support their business!
These wooden pieces are all so beautiful! They would make wonderful keepsakes or fun games for the kiddos! My personal favorite is the ‘Seriously Inappropriate Milestones’ Card set ($29.95). Definitely getting them for the next baby!
Every Easter basket needs some beach toys! Isn’t Easter basically a kick off into the warmer months? What a good time to get ready for that first beach trip!
Books are always my favorite ‘filler’. Stockings, Easter baskets, a Tuesday.
I’d recommend checking out one of these blogs to get some ideas of good books for your tots!
