In Leopold’s short (almost) three years of life, he has accumulated SO MANY STUFFED TOYS. I am mainly the one to blame here, and I know it…I love toys and stuffed animals just as much as he does! Seeing him interact and use his imagination with them only fuels my desire to buy him more than he needs.
Half of his stuffed toys are sentimental, too. I’m a very clingy and nostalgic person when it comes to ‘things’. I know I get this from my mom (and even a little from my dad)! I get the mindset of ‘oh but _________ bought you that!’ or ‘awww, we got this during our family vacation two years ago!’ We even have a bunch of stuffed animals that are from my own childhood! Those are even harder to get rid of because, well, we have held onto them this long! I think I have almost all of my old Simba stuffed toys, and a couple of other favorites are thrown in there too.
My mom bought me a giant stuffed frog once as a surprise for my bedroom (I was 19 or 20…not even a kid haha) and every time I go to get rid of it, I’m struck with guilt (especially since she’s not around anymore). If the guilt isn’t there, that’s when Leopold usually decides it’s his FAVORITE stuffed animal.
Then there is the giant Mickey Mouse stuffed animal that my mother in law bought Leopold for his first Christmas. It’s taller than him! It says ‘2015’ on the foot, too…which makes it slightly harder for me to get rid of. I may just wait until both kids are ‘over’ Mickey. I have, however, nicely asked my mother in law to NEVER buy my kids giant toys ever again!
Well, the other day I discovered these “Stuff N’ Sit” stuffed animal storage bags on Instagram. Can you say GAME CHANGER?! Creative QT sent me two XL Stuff N’ Sits and already my life feels less cluttered! Leopold had fun helping me stuff them and loves being able to ‘snuggle’ all his animals at once. I even used the one in his room for not only stuffed animals, but extra comforters and pillows! I had been wondering how on earth to store all of those (somehow we have a ton of those things too) But these storage bean bag chairs are the perfect solution!
The bonus to it being a unique storage option is that it creates additional seating, too! I have added one to his room and one to the nursery. I put all of the stuffed toys from the living room in the grey one as well as extra crib sheets and baby blankets. This actually works really well in the nursery and I’m sure it will prove useful when I am in there with the baby and Leopold wants to hang out! The green and white stripe goes perfectly with Leopold’s bedroom!
I leave the zipper side facing up or out so that Leopold can get into it if he needs to! It’s fairly simple to operate and he is able to do it himself.
They also sent us a pack of Chore Sticks that have some awesome suggestions on them for making sure everything gets clean, little by little! There are also some fun ones, like ‘go hug mom or dad’.
Keep an eye on the Creative QT Amazon page! They are going to have some amazing deals for Prime Day, which is JULY 16TH this year! That’s very soon y’all!
I’m going to be holding a giveaway over on my Instagram, so comment below and tell me what your child’s FAVORITE stuffed toys are for an extra FIVE entries!
