We love tea in our house. We are huge tea drinkers no matter what time of year it is, or how hot or cold it is outside. Coffee is still the first thing we drink in the mornings, but you can’t go wrong with a cup of hot tea at night!
My teas of choice are English Breakfast during the day, and chamomile at night. If I’m drinking black tea or something similar I will usually add sugar or honey, but at night I drink the chamomile as is.
My husband favors rooibos tea but oh my goodness is that stuff hard to find! Some of my good friends just gave us some loose leaf rooibos which will hopefully last us a while longer. Luckily my mother in law is headed home to South Africa in August and will hopefully bring us some ‘Glen’ tea back when she returns! I don’t really like the rooibos from Kroger, which is the only place we can usually find it. I think it tastes like peanuts. My husband doesn’t mind though! He drinks his with milk and sugar. He’s South African but I can see where their culture was heavily influenced by the British!
You get the picture. We love tea. I was excited when I got an email from Total Tea asking to collaborate! They were super generous and sent over each variety of tea that they offer, including their 25 day detox tea.
My husband has been drinking the detox tea pretty regularly and has definitely noticed a decrease in bloating! He is also a lot more regular when he’s drinking it daily…if you get what I’m saying there.
My dear husband isn’t the greatest and keeping up with something for the entire length of time you’re supposed to, so I’m still working on him drinking it daily. Come on though…how much is one girl supposed to remember!?
He keeps talking about how he feels like he has lost a few pounds. His eating habits haven’t really changed so I’m sure the tea is aiding in this a bit! I wish I could give more conclusive results but again, he’s wishy washy with the detox tea drinking.
I think one reason he isn’t drinking it daily is that he isn’t a fan of the taste. To me it smells and tastes great, very fruity and aromatic. He does not like fruit at all though so that may be a factor.
I truly believe if he sticks with it for the whole 25 days he would see a very noticeable difference! Pair that with diet and a regular workout and he would be golden! If you were to add some lemon and cinnamon like it shows in the photo, they will also help to speed up your metabolism. Cinnamon is also shown to help curb sweet cravings!
Leopold and I went through and opened all of the other teas and smelled each one. They all smell wonderful! Especially the peppermint. I’ve tried that one, the breakfast tea, the chamomile, and the white and each one is superb!
Are you a big tea drinker? What is your favorite variety?
