We just got back from a few days in the mountains. If you are a parent, you will understand how easy it is to pack 4 separate bags for your child for just a couple of days. At first I think we won’t need that much. Then suddenly he has a bag for clothes, a bag for toiletries, a bag for sleeping items, and a bag of toys. The things my son needs to sleep would include a pillow, blanket, stuffed animal(s), paci, sound machine, and possibly a night light. I never know what to expect when we visit a new place and I don’t like taking a chance on disrupting sleeping patterns!
It’s actually a bit ridiculous thinking about how much I pack for my son. As my mom always said, “It’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!” I made it through Europe for about two months with only a carry on to my name. But now that I have kids?? No way, no how.
I was sent a Brave Buddy (a lion) for Leopold.
They tried to get him to us before our trip but thanks to the holidays he got there the evening we left…so close! I can’t wait to travel with our brave buddy. I know this guy will make packing considerably easier!
First off, it’s SO SOFT. I’m such a sucker for soft stuff! This buddy is super silky and snuggly!
As I was taking photos, I thought the bag was a carrying case for the buddy bag! Shows how much I pay attention…I stuffed the buddy bag into the carrying case anyway and it works if you need it to!
I didn’t realize when I was sent the brave buddy that it came with an overnight bag and a toiletry bag too! That’s pretty awesome if you ask me. The sleeping bag is designed to wrap around the overnight bag (that will hold about three days worth of clothing). The small toiletry bag will fit right inside your overnight bag.
The sleeping bag itself comes with backpack straps for easy transportation and the overnight bag has straps too. It’s fairly simple to roll the buddy bag up and the clasps are big and easy for small hands to figure out.
Our brave buddy has so many cool features! There is a pocket on the back of the detachable head that would be perfect for a pacifier (in our case). There is a little night light in the zipper pocket on the tail, too. The pillow comes off easily with velcro in case it needs to be washed. I love the size of the overnight bag, too. It’s just big enough to carry what you need but not so big that your child would struggle to carry it.
The nice people at BuddyBagz have an important mission that they stand behind. I love a company that works for good! They work alongside The Valerie Fund to raise money for kids fighting cancer or blood disorders.
BuddyBagz donates 15% of every sale to The Valerie Fund. For every 25 BuddyBagz sold, they donate one to a child who is currently undergoing treatments. As a mother of a healthy and happy child, my heart breaks for the children and parents affected by sickness. To have a buddy to take to treatments could be a real comfort to these kids.
We love our brave buddy because it’s a cute lion and Leopold + lions kind of feels like a good combination. However the brave buddy stands for more than just cuteness. It represents tons of brave kids fighting for their lives every day.
