The Lil Sidekick
* We received a ‘lil sidekick’ for free in exchange for our honest opinion and review*
Part of being a toddler is ‘testing gravity’ by dropping everything you can reach on the floor. Nothing is safe…nothing. In the last year and a half, I’ve spent more than my fair share of time crawling around on the floor like an animal, picking up things my son has dropped. Luckily we do have dogs, so that eliminates most of the food he throws down!
I think the worst situation is when we are taking a walk or rolling through the mall in the stroller, and he decides he is done with whatever he is holding. If you are lucky, you will hear it drop. Sometimes a friendly stranger will shout after you “ma’am! Hello! Ma’am!?” You whip around looking a little crazy eyed, not sure if you’re hearing things. Besides, you were busy thinking of a hundred other things as you breezed by. “He dropped his cup!” Phew! Lost cup crisis averted.
I’ve had a couple of instances where said item simply disappears. It was not as lucky as it’s comrades and it fell behind into a sea of pedestrians or an empty aisle at Publix.
Well, I’ve got some advice for you, mama. Strap. It. Down. Seriously. I know it can be a pain to add another step in the process of getting it together to go for a walk or to the store, but just…strap it down.
I was sent two lil sidekicks. One of them I kept for this review and the other one is going out to one of my lucky readers! We picked the lime green one because we love all things color!
Since we have had the lil sidekick it has gone everywhere with us! We braved Aldi, and attached our snack cup to the stroller. No tears, no stress. We tried our luck at the local consignment sale and I attached the snack cup to my Kinderpack. Nothing was dropped (well, maybe a graham cracker piece or two)! I attached his Contigo water bottle to the stroller with the lil sidekick today and we didn’t have one drop. Not one!
My little guy doesn’t chew on a lot (despite getting 6 teeth at once) but if he was a gnawer we would use it for teethers or even a paci. You can also utilize the star shaped end as a teether! As an added bonus, it’s made right here in the USA! They come in pink, green, grey and blue-but they are all so cute!
Here are a few of the things you can strap down using your lil sidekick!
